If HuntedGift's AI suggests a gift that's inaccurate, offensive, or doesn't match the recipient's profile, you can report it directly to the support team. Your feedback helps improve recommendation quality.
HuntedGift doesn't have a built-in "Report" button in the app yet. Send reports via email or the contact form.
How to report a bad suggestion
Option 1: Email support
Send details to [email protected] This is the fastest way to report issues.
Option 2: Use the Help Center contact form
Click the Help icon in the top navigation bar (looks like a question mark or life preserver)
Select Help Center from the dropdown
Use the contact form or link provided on the support page
You can also access the Help Center from your profile dropdown menu under "Help" or from the footer under "Support".
What to include in your report
The more details you provide, the easier it is for the team to investigate. Include:
The bad suggestion details — Gift name, brand, or a screenshot of the suggestion card
Your search description — What you told the AI about the recipient (interests, personality, budget)
Why it's wrong — Specific reason (e.g., "Suggested men's cologne for a 5-year-old girl," "Recommendation exceeds stated budget by $100," "Offensive or inappropriate content")
When it happened — Date and approximate time of the search
Screenshots are extremely helpful. Capture the gift card showing the bad suggestion and, if possible, the search details you entered.
Common reasons to report a suggestion
Doesn't match recipient profile — Gift for wrong age, gender, or interest category
Way outside budget — Suggestion costs 2-3x your stated budget
Offensive or inappropriate — Contains mature themes, controversial messaging, or culturally insensitive content
Duplicate or near-duplicate gifts — Same product appears multiple times in results
Broken link or missing product — Gift card links to a 404 page or out-of-stock item with no alternative
Generic or low-effort match — AI ignored specific interests and returned generic "Best gifts for men" style results
What happens after you report
The support team reviews all reports. While they may not reply to every submission, your feedback is logged and used to:
Identify patterns in poor recommendations
Flag problematic products or sources
Improve AI training and filtering rules
If your report involves a serious issue (offensive content, broken core features), expect a response within 24-48 hours.
Reporting bad suggestions doesn't refund used searches. Free users get 3 searches/day, Pro gets 20, Elite gets 100. If a search produced completely unusable results, mention this in your report—support may offer guidance or account adjustments.
Using the upvote feature
While you can't downvote or report suggestions directly in the app, you can upvote gifts you love by clicking the thumbs-up icon on any gift card. This positive feedback helps the AI learn what works, which indirectly reduces bad suggestions over time.
Tips for better AI results
Prevent bad suggestions by improving your search inputs:
Be specific — Instead of "gifts for mom," try "52-year-old mom who loves gardening, murder mystery podcasts, and trying new recipes, budget $50"
Mention what to avoid — "No wine or alcohol," "Avoid anything too trendy," "Nothing requiring assembly"
State budget clearly — Include max price or range
Add personality traits — "Minimalist," "loves bold colors," "prefers practical over decorative"
The AI performs best with 2-3 sentences of detail. Too little context (just "dad") or too much (a full essay) both reduce accuracy.
