You can reset your password if you're locked out of your account or change it anytime from your profile settings. Both options are available for email/password accounts.

If you signed in with Google, you don't have a password to reset. Your Google account handles authentication.

Reset Password (Forgot Password)

Use this method if you're locked out and can't remember your password:

  1. Go to the login page

  2. Click Forgot password? below the password field

  3. Enter your email address and click Send Reset Link

  4. Check your inbox for a password reset email

  5. Click the link in the email (it expires in about 1 hour)

  6. Enter your new password twice (at least 8 characters with one uppercase, one lowercase, and one number)

  7. Click Reset Password

You'll be signed out and redirected to the home page. Log in with your new password.

If you don't receive the reset email within a few minutes, check your spam folder. The link expires after about 1 hour.

Change Password (Logged In)

If you're already logged in and want to change your password:

  1. Go to your Profile page from the sidebar menu

  2. Open Password & Privacy or find the Security section

  3. Click Change Password

  4. Enter your new password twice (at least 6 characters)

  5. Click Update Password

Your password is updated immediately. No email verification is required.

If you forgot your current password while logged in, you can use the "Forgot password? Send reset email" option in the Password & Privacy dialog instead.

Troubleshooting

Invalid or expired link: Reset links expire after about 1 hour. Request a new reset email and use it right away.

Passwords don't match: Make sure both password fields are identical when you're creating your new password.

Failed to send reset email: Check that you entered the correct email address associated with your account. If the problem continues, contact support.

For security, you'll be automatically signed out after resetting your password. Just log back in with your new credentials.
