ou can update your profile, password, privacy settings, and subscription preferences from your Settings page. All changes sync immediately across your mobile and web apps.
Access your preferences by clicking Profile in the sidebar, or visit your public profile and click the Edit icon.
Updating Your Profile Information
To change your name, username, or profile images:
Go to Profile in the sidebar
Click Name, Username & Email
In the "Edit Profile" modal, update your Full Name or @Username
Click Save Changes
You'll see a confirmation: "Profile updated successfully!"
Your username must be 3-20 characters, using only letters, numbers, and underscores. Usernames must be unique—you'll get an error if it's already taken.
To update your profile picture or banner image:
Avatar: Hover over your current avatar and click Change Avatar (or Add Avatar if you haven't set one). Upload an image under 5MB.
Banner: Hover over the banner area and click Add Banner. Upload an image under 10MB.
Images save automatically and update across the app instantly.
Changing Your Password
To update your password (email/password accounts only, not Google sign-ins):
Go to Profile in the sidebar
Click Password & Privacy
Enter your New Password (minimum 6 characters)
Re-enter it in Confirm Password
Click Update Password
You'll see: "Password updated successfully!" Your session will remain active—you don't need to log in again.
If you signed up with Google, you can't change your password in HuntedGift—manage it through your Google account instead.
Managing Privacy and Data Settings
HuntedGift offers two data control options in your Settings:
Usage Analytics: Toggle on/off to control whether we collect anonymous usage data to improve the product. Enabled by default.
Download All My Data: Request a JSON export of your account data, including saved gifts, lists, and search history.
To access these settings:
Go to Profile in the sidebar
Scroll to Data Control
Toggle Usage Analytics or click Download All My Data

Subscription and Plan Preferences
Your current plan (Free, Pro, or Elite) appears at the top of your Settings page, along with your daily search limit and remaining searches.
To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription:
Go to Profile in the sidebar
Click your plan name (e.g., "Pro Plan")
You'll be redirected to the Pricing page to select a new plan
If you're on a paid plan (Pro or Elite), you'll see a Manage Subscription button that opens the Stripe billing portal in a new tab. From there, you can update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.

Other Settings
Connected Apps: View and manage third-party integrations (if available for your plan).
Keyboard Shortcuts: View a list of keyboard shortcuts to navigate HuntedGift faster.
Log Out: Sign out from all devices. You'll need to log in again to access your account.
Email Address
Your email address is displayed in your profile but can't be changed directly. If you need to update your email, contact our support team via the contact page.
All preference changes—except email—take effect immediately. There's no "Save" button for most settings because they auto-save as you make changes.
Troubleshooting
"Username is already taken": Someone else is using that username. Try a variation or add numbers/underscores.
"Image must be less than 5MB/10MB": Your upload is too large. Compress the file or use a smaller image.
"Passwords do not match": Make sure your new password and confirmation password are identical.
"Failed to update profile": Check your internet connection and try again. If it keeps failing, refresh the page and log in again.
