HuntedGift collects only the information needed to deliver personalized gift recommendations and manage your account. Your privacy is protected—we don't sell your data, and you have full control over what we store.

What data do you collect and store?
We collect information in three categories:
Account information:
Name, email address, and account credentials
Payment information (processed securely through Stripe—we don't store your card details)
Chat history with the AI for gift recommendations
Gift preferences, saved lists, and search history
Usage data (anonymized and aggregated):
Gift categories, budgets, and occasion types (without recipient names)
Device information and app usage patterns
Analytics to improve recommendations and platform performance
What we DON'T collect:
Government IDs, GPS location, or biometric data
Sensitive demographics (race, religion, health information)
Recipient names from your AI chats
Data from children under 13
Is my information sold or shared?
No, we never sell your personal data. We only share information in these specific situations:
With your consent: When you choose to share wish lists publicly or with friends.
With trusted service providers:
Google Gemini AI — Powers gift recommendations (your chats are not used for training or stored by Google)
Stripe — Processes payments securely
Crisp — Provides customer support chat
Contentsquare — Analyzes app usage (form data is masked)
Supabase/Lovable — Hosting and authentication
Affiliate partners — Amazon, Walmart, Etsy (only when you click product links)
For legal obligations: When required by law or to protect our rights.
Can gift recipients see my searches?
No. Recipients cannot see your AI search history or private wish lists unless you explicitly share a list with them.
When you share a wish list (via public link or friends-only visibility), recipients can see:
List name and description
Saved gift titles, prices, images, and links
Any notes you added to gifts
They cannot see your account details, AI chat history, or other private lists.
Control list visibility in your profile settings. Set lists to private, friends-only, or public based on your needs.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of businesses. HuntedGift never stores your credit card details on our servers.
Stripe uses industry-standard encryption and fraud prevention to protect your payment information. You can manage payment methods securely through your subscription settings.
How long do you keep my data?
We retain data based on these policies:
Account data: Stored while your account is active
Raw event logs: Automatically deleted after 90 days
Aggregated analytics: Retained indefinitely (anonymized, no personal identifiers)
After deletion: Full removal within 30 days (except data required for legal or tax obligations)
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You have full control over your data:
To delete your account:
Go to your profile settings at hunted.gift/profile
Scroll to the "Delete Account" section
Type "DELETE" to confirm
Your account, lists, gifts, chats, and stored data will be permanently removed
To download your data:
Go to hunted.gift/profile
Find the "Data Control" section
Click "Download My Data" to export a JSON file with your profile, lists, gifts, and chat history
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Download your data first if you want a backup.
How can I opt out of analytics tracking?
You can disable analytics tracking two ways:
Toggle analytics off in your profile settings
Email [email protected] with your opt-out request
Note that disabling analytics may limit our ability to improve your gift recommendations.
What are my data privacy rights?
Depending on your location, you have the right to:
Access — Request a copy of your personal data
Correct — Update inaccurate information
Delete — Remove your data from our systems
Portability — Export your data in a readable format
Object — Opt out of certain data processing activities

HuntedGift is designed for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
