Your bank statement may show Hunted Gift charges as foreign transactions because our payment processor, Stripe, handles payments through international entities. This is normal and doesn't affect the security or validity of the charge.
Why this happens
Stripe processes payments through different regional entities depending on your location. For many international customers, transactions are processed through Stripe's European or Irish entities, which causes your bank to flag the charge as foreign.
This is standard practice for global payment processors and doesn't mean anything is wrong with your subscription.
Your bank may charge foreign transaction fees for these payments. Check your card's terms to see if this applies to you.
What appears on your statement
The charge will typically show as:
The company name (may include "Stripe" or our business name)
The amount in your local currency (converted from USD)
A location indicator (often Ireland or another Stripe processing location)
Avoiding foreign transaction fees
If your bank charges fees for foreign transactions, consider:
Using a card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees
Checking with your bank about fee waivers for recurring subscriptions
To verify your charges or download receipts, see Viewing invoices and receipts.
